In the body of paintings included in this catalogue, the artist infuses her abstract style with violent references to contemporary events like the Syrian Civil War, echoing major contemporary works such as Gerhard Richter’s Birkenau paintings or Lebanese musician Mazan Kerbaj’s Starry Night.
